M7500PVT Ultra HPHT Pycnometer
Patent Pending

The Grace Instrument M7500PVT Ultra HPHT Pycnometer is an add-on module for the M7500 Ultra HPHT Rheometer and provides a means for testing liquid density changes under simulated downhole conditions, such as those found in deep oil or geothermal wells.

The M7500PVT module is also designed to test solid samples such as cements, cores, or other solids.

Both sample types can be tested without contamination by pressurization fluid.

The M7500PVT module includes two pistons – large and small.  The large piston is intended for tests involving larger changes in sample density.  The small piston is intended for tests involving smaller changes in sample density, with a corresponding need for greater accuracy.

These tests are created and administered by the user with the M7500 PC software, M7500DAQ. Test results can be exported directly into Microsoft® Excel or saved as a standard .CSV text file.

More M7500 add-on modules:

M7500 add-on modules provide powerful new functionality at a lower cost than competing, stand-alone instruments, while maintaining a single instrument footprint and merging seamlessly with your existing software training. Click the tabs below to explore the various additional options available.

  • Rheometer
  • Linear Swell
  • Cement Rheometer
  • Sagging Tester

M7500 Ultra HPHT Rheometer:

The patented M7500 Ultra HPHT Rheometer is capable of testing fluid viscosity under conditions of temperature and pressure ranging from atmospheric to 30,000 psi and from 20 °F (with chiller) to 600 °F.

More specifications and other information can be found on our M7500 Ultra HPHT Rheometer page.

M7500LSM Linear Swell Meter:

M7500 Ultra HPHT Rheometer Cement CellThe Grace Instrument M7500LSM Ultra HPHT Linear Swell Meter is an add-on module for the M7500 Ultra HPHT Rheometer and provides an automated, ultra-high pressure and high temperature linear swell meter (up to 30,000 psi and 600 °F). Like the dedicated Grace Instrument M4600 HPHT Linear Swell Meter, it is engineered to measure the volumetric expansion (or contraction) of a solid sample under simulated downhole conditions while saturating it with a fluid sample.

More specifications and other information can be found on our M7500LSM Linear Swell Meter page.

M7500 HPHT Cement Rheometer:

Cement cellThe HPHT Cement Rheometer is an engineered insert for the M7500 Ultra HPHT Rheometer that is designed for testing cement samples.

The cement sample is contained entirely within the rotor assembly, reducing contamination with pressurization fluid to a bare minimum. Once testing is finished, the rotor can be quickly disassembled for easy cleanup.

The patented design of the cement cell module eliminates jewel bearings, thus preventing measurement errors which can occur when bearings become contaminated with sample fluids.

M8500 HPHT Sag Tester:

M8500The M8500 High Pressure, High Temperature Dynamic Sagging Tester is designed for evaluating barite and other weight material sag under simulated drilling conditions.

More specifications and other information can be found on our M8500 HPHT Sagging Tester page.
